PORTRAIT OF THE WEEK

Patrick de Warren was born in Avignon, France, raised in Paris, and currently lives in New York City. Having started shooting at 25, Patrick de Warren was immediately seduced by fashion and its universe. Photographers such as Julia Margaret Cameron's, Sarah Moon, Paolo Roversi, and Javier Vallhonrat, were always a source of inspiration. In the year 2000 he was selected by Giorgio Armani to be one of the few photographers involved with the Armani Art Exchange Project. Since attaining a career in fashion photography, Patrick de Warren has been featured in numerous publications and has exhibited internationally, notably at Japan’s Kintetsu Art Museum in Osaka and the Kobe Fashion Museum in Kobe. In 2002 the photographer got notice with the Polaroid International Photography Award for North America.

For Patrick de Warren, being able to capture moments of his life and creating images is a passion and a constant inspirations. Everyday brings a new canvas and everything around him insights new ideas. Life is his studio. De Warren has recently adopted more cinematic approach to his work by experimenting with film and video.
